Hi, I’m kyla.

I’m a modern day, old soul homemaker living in the small, agriculturally-based, western Kansas community that I grew up in with my husband, our five beautiful (feral) children, and a garden that does its own thing, along with a collection of pets and livestock.

I’m just an ordinary person. There’s nothing extravagant or super-notable about me. I love Jesus, but I cuss a little (or a lot, depending on the day). I homeschool our children and manage our household. I’m not real sure what I have to offer to the world in this particular format but have felt called, if you will, to do so for several years. I’ve avoided it because I really can’t figure out if or why what I would have to say would be all that important to anyone outside of my immediate circle. But I’ve also learned that when you feel a strong pull to do something, and it doesn’t go away (especially when you’ve tried to ignore it) though you may not understand why, God must have a reason He wants you to do it.

Thank you for being here. I hope that at the very least, you can leave this page a little better than when you found it - whether you smiled, found a new recipe/kitchen gadget to add to your arsenal, laughed so hard you snorted your coffee through your nose, or just resonated with the daily life of a wife and a mom doing her best not to completely lose her $h!+ on the daily - I hope you enjoy a glimpse into my real life…For What It’s Worth!
